National Lottery

The National Lottery Awards for All, which is a part of the National Lottery Big Lottery Fund, has awarded the Monks Eleigh Village Hall, the sum of £10,000 towards to cost of completing the kitchen and bar fit-out.

The letter received with the award states: "Receiving this award is a mark of quality of the work you are doing in your community. We want to help you to celebrate it and will publish details of your grant award on our website on 05.06.2018 and send information to local media." Suffolk County Council

A substantial donation, Suffolk County Council have contributed the sum of £38,000 towards the final build costs for the new hall. We are very grateful to them for such a generous sum.

Robert Lindsay

We received with thanks, the sum of £2000 from our local Suffolk Councillor, Robert Lindsay. A keen supporter of Monks Eleigh and a champion of local environmental causes. Robert is an established member of the Green Party.

A significant sum of money comes from our local district council Babergh District Council.

Private Donations

We have received a total of £30,000 from some private donations, for which we are extremely grateful. We would like to thank those who have shown the Village Hall project such generosity and support.
