Our village - your hall

The Hall is Open!

Monks Eleigh Village Hall is fully open for community events, activities and private hires from 19th July 2021 with risks managed by hirers e.g. through ventilation, encouraging social distancing, hand washing and use of hand sanitiser.  Please see the latest advice and guidance for hirers: click here.

It remains important to respect and be considerate of those who are more vulnerable and who may wish to take a more cautious approach. It will be appropriate at some activities or events that measures (including wearing face masks and social distancing) are taken so that these people can attend.

Potential hirers should bear in mind that smaller events, where social distancing can continue to be achieved, will be less risky than larger events. In the case of larger events, it is obvious that, where an audience is seated for a performance, it is less risky than at a wedding reception with people dancing and singing.

Monks Eleigh is a beautiful rural Suffolk village, not far from historic Lavenham and the towns of Hadleigh and Sudbury. The village hall has always been an important focal point for our community and provided the venue for countless parties, weddings, dances, classes and meetings.

We now have a brand new village hall on the playing field, It is a wonderful facility with a large, daylight-filled hall; fitted kitchen; bar area; toilets including a disabled loo and a meeting room.
