Richard Warner

Treasurer

I have now retired from full employment, having worked since 2001 with a leading Extra Care Housing and Health Property developer, engaging with public and community sectors across the UK. I continue to assist a former work colleague in his setting up of an affordable home development company. We moved to Monks Eleigh in 1999, continuing the family’s love and tradition of living in Suffolk since 1901. I joined the Village Hall Trustees to assist in the development of the new Village Hall, subsequently taking over the role of Treasurer. My past leisure time has included the writing and composing of children’s songs on the guitar, songs which were aired on the BBC and across the world throughout the nineties in an animated film series called ‘Spider!' I have reintroduced music to a local charity, 'Success after Stroke', playing the guitar once a week to members. I also work a couple of half days as a volunteer in the village shop. Somewhere in between all of that, you will find me working in the garden, enjoying the pleasure of living in this lovely village.
