Afternoon tea and jazz in the garden

Many villages braved the scorching temperatures for our afternoon tea party in Erica’s wonderful garden. We enjoyed the soft sounds of jazz, to the clink of Pimms glasses, while huge quantities of sandwiches, scones, cakes and teas were devoured.

We raised over £800 for the village hall which is amazing and Erica would like to say a big thank you to:

  • everyone who supported the event and who bought raffle tickets and made donations

  • Corncraft for the loan of the chairs

  • the village hall and the church for the use of equipment and to everyone who lent their gazebos

  • to the team who ran the event on the day, you were all amazing and worked so hard

  • and to all the cake makers and caterers

  • finally thank you to all those who turned up on Sunday to help take it all down again and to anyone else I have forgotten to mention!

As you can see these events don’t happen without a lot of work from a lot of enthusiastic people so well done all!
